School approval is a separate step. WorldTrips states these plans meet J-1 visa requirements. Your school may set different requirements; obtain its approval before replacing a school plan.

Eligibility and coverage period
The specimen requires being under 65, outside your home country, and a full-time student or qualifying full-time scholar; a valid F-1 or J-1 visa can waive full-time status within the U.S. You must be abroad for education, not have host-country residency, and have an education-related visa if in the U.S. Other conditions apply. The maximum certificate period is 12 months; extensions and renewals depend on eligibility and insurer approval.
Medical and evacuation benefits
StudentSecure includes eligible illness and injury care, limited mental health benefits, emergency evacuation, and repatriation. Limits differ by level. Elite, for example, lists $300,000 lifetime emergency evacuation and $50,000 lifetime repatriation limits.
School waivers, sports, and extra benefits
Match the actual documents to your school’s waiver rules. Elite includes limited organized sports, maternity, vaccination, and preventive-care benefits, each with conditions. Elite also lists optional AD&D and crisis-response riders. Check other tiers separately.
Exclusions and geographical coverage
Review pre-existing-condition waiting periods, routine-care restrictions, excluded sports, and pregnancy definitions. Select geographic coverage for your study location, including the U.S. when needed. Confirm residence eligibility and any destination restrictions in the application.
Payments, claims, and help
WorldTrips offers monthly or full-payment options. Use the WorldTrips member portal for documents and claims resources. Follow the assistance instructions on your insurance ID card when you need care.
